Here I am: showing up every day, making the art, and living the best life possible. What other choice is there?
Sometimes, I get scared. I think that maybe I'm not making enough money or "being all that I can be." I get over it.
I'm committed to my art: sculpture, the vertical form, creating sacred space, living it, feeding the birds, growing food, teaching. . .
I like what Joseph Buoys said about an expanded concept of art and what Joseph Campbell said about living the heroes journey. Joseph Cornell and his little boxes inspire, too. I'm trying to be like these guys, only different.
